The Collective for Clean Transport Finance is a coordinated effort across various partners and initiatives, including UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, the Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation, Smart Freight Centre, UNEP’s Global Electric Mobility Programme, the World Bank’s Global Facility to Decarbonise Transport, the ZEVTC and WBCSD’s ZEV-EMI, to curate and connect projects and investors.
In the short term, the Collective for Clean Transport Finance aims to demonstrate a trilateral collaborative process. The process allows the leverage of political ambition for ZEV adoption and uses the capacity of the Collective to collect, curate, and connect projects to potential investors. Accordingly, in the short term, success requires mobilising leaders from the three sectors and creating lighthouse projects.
Over the longer term, the Collective will institutionalise the process and set up what could be a new type of institution to create a global deal flow, associated asset classes, and scale investments.
