Through the Global Power System Transformation Consortium (G-PST), 32 power system operators from 26 countries, representing 1/3 of global electricity emissions, work together with the world’s leading power system research institutions to develop, deploy, and scale technical solutions for accelerating progress toward full power sector decarbonization. G-PST focuses on technical solutions, assistance to system operators worldwide, workforce development, standards implementation, and the development of open-source tools for power system planning and operation. Technical areas include System needs & services; Grid-forming technologies; Resource Adequacy; Control room of the future; Stability tools; and Distributed energy resources.
