The Zero-Emission Vehicle Emerging Markets Initiative (ZEV-EMI), a collaborative effort by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the governments of the U.S., U.K., and other countries, aims to accelerate the transition to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) in emerging markets. By fostering cooperation between governments, businesses, and investors, the initiative seeks to provide targeted technical assistance to developing economies as they decarbonise their road transportation sectors. As part of the Global ZEV Transition Council (ZEVTC), ZEV-EMI operates within the International Assistance Task Force, supporting countries like India in advancing their transport decarbonisation goals.
